Celebrate the noontime ball drop from the comfort of home!

Join the Maryland Science Center and Domino Sugar for Midnight Noon Online on Thursday, December 31 from 10am to 2pm with hands-on activities, a livestream performance by Grammy nominated Milkshake, and of course– a countdown to the new year at noon!

How do I participate in Midnight Noon Online?

10:00aM – Design a sound shaker

Turn a cardboard tube into noisemaker to ring in the New Year.

Science at Home Activity

 

11:30 aM – live performance by milkshake

Shake it up with a live performance by Grammy-nominated kids rock band, Milkshake!

Performance and Countdown

 

12:00PM – Live countdown to noon with milkshake

Tune in to Milkshake’s live performance as they countdown to the New Year at noon!

 

1:00PM – Build a confetti popper

Use simple materials to make a confetti popper that can be use again and again!

  • Toilet paper tube (2)
  • Balloon
  • Scissors
  • Masking tape
  • Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
  • Hole punch
  • Colorful paper scraps
  • Stapler
  • Beads, dry rice, or dry beans
