Membership

The membership level you choose allows a set number of people, including the cardholder, into the museum. Any person over your selected membership level will pay full priced admission.

For example, an Adventurer level membership allows the cardholder and up to three guests into the museum daily.

Children under the age of three are admitted to the Science Center free of charge and do not count toward the total number of admissions.

• Membership cards and associated privileges are non-transferable.
• Members are requested to show photo ID when presenting their membership card.
•  Caregivers/Au Pairs/Nannies can visit the Maryland Science Center under your membership but must present your member card and a note authorizing use of your membership for that day.
• Membership privileges are not included in School Group visits.

Membership goes into effect immediately after your transaction is approved and you have received your emailed purchase confirmation, and lasts for one year.

Membership expires on the last day of the month purchased, 12 months later.  For example, if you bought a membership on the 14th of June, it would expire on June 30th the following year.

Yes! Membership makes an excellent gift.

Online Orders

• Gift Memberships go into effect immediately after your transaction is approved and you have received your emailed purchase confirmation.
• Please have all of the information regarding the recipient on hand including a preferred address, phone number and email.
• Your recipient will start receiving the benefits of membership right away!

Phone and Ticket Desk Orders

• Memberships Gift Certificates can be purchased at our ticket desk or over the phone at 410-685-2370.
• Recipients of Membership Gift Certificates have twelve months from your purchase date to redeem in person at our ticket desk. We do not record any of your recipient’s information until the gift certificate is redeemed.
• Your recipient will start receiving the benefits of membership after they complete registration by redeeming in person. The recipient’s 12-month membership will begin the minute it is redeemed in-person. This applies to new members and renewing members.

The Maryland Science Center welcomes members from participating ASTC Passport institutions!

• Reciprocal admission is limited to up to a total of 4 tickets. IMAX is not included, but can be purchased as an add-on.
• Visiting members must present their “home institution” membership card with a photo ID.

The Maryland Science Center reserves the right to restrict or deny reciprocal admission.

The Groupon deal on membership is no longer active. Please check back in November of 2025.
