Earn your robotics merit badge!
Join the Maryland Science Center for a one-day Scouts BSA Robotics Workshop. Scouts (in 6th-12th grade) will learn about robots and programming, then design, build, and test a hydraulic arm.
Saturday, December 2
Prerequisites:
Scouts should come prepared to discuss the safety precautions and potential first aid that may be needed when working with robots (Req. 1)
Research one career opportunity in robotics (Req. 7).
Schedule
12:30pm-2:00pm – Learn about robots and the robotics industry
2:00-2:15– Break
2:15-4:30 – Design, Build, Test and Program a hydraulic arm
Cost: $60 per participant
Additional Information
- Space in the classroom is limited, so we can only allow 1 adult in the classroom per group. That adult must be in the classroom at all times.
- Admission is included in the ticket price. Adults can purchase reduced admission at the ticket desk.
- A fun patch is included, but official badges must be purchased from your organization.
