Celebrating 50 Years at the Inner Harbor
For 50 years…
The Maryland Science Center has provided innovative STEM educational experiences at our location in Baltimore City and in schools and community centers across Maryland, reaching millions of students and families.
As we celebrate our first 50 years, we also look towards our future—continuing our work to inspire, empower, and engage Maryland’s next generations of scientists, engineers, and science enthusiasts of all ages. Be a part of this impact by joining us for an evening to celebrate this important work. Let’s science. Let’s party!
the party
Dress to impress and celebrate with exciting science demonstrations, dance floor-packing live musical performances, and all inclusive food and drink!

Mingle and explore our interactive exhibits—including our all new exhibits Space and Make.
Dance the night away to high energy live music performed on the atrium stage and a record spinning DJ set on our rooftop patio.

A twirling vortex of colorful flames. A frozen fog filled bubble. You never know what amazing science demonstration you will find around every corner.
Enjoy a culinary tour of delicious bites, fresh shucked oysters, multiple complimentary bar stations and our Solstice signature cocktail.

Try your luck with our Wine Pull and take home something to sip!
Why we celebrate
For 50 years, all Maryland school students visiting on a field trip have received free admission to the Science Center’s exhibit halls.
All proceeds from Solstice help underwrite this free admission policy to ensure that future generations of students will continue to visit for free on a field trip.

Solstice is for ages 21+ only.
