Each year the Maryland Science Center recognizes outstanding achievement in the sciences through various awards.
The Science Center’s Scientific Council adjudicates the Outstanding Young Scientist and Outstanding Young Engineer Award, as well as the Glass Scholarship program. The awards celebrate scientific research and academic achievement.
The Outstanding Maryland STEM Educator Award recognizes educators who demonstrate a focus on hands-on, inquiry-driven teaching techniques.
Dr. H. Bentley Glass Scholarship
This annually awarded scholarship is presented to a Baltimore City public high school student who intends to pursue studies in the STEM field.
This award is given to a Maryland elementary or middle school educator, in the STEM field, who demonstrates a focus on hans-on, inquiry-driven teaching techniques.
