Celebrate the thrills and chills of Halloween with science!

Creep over to the Maryland Science Center on Saturday, October 11, if you dare, for an afternoon filled with spooktacular science fun! Enter Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory for a monster engineering challenge. Conduct ghoulish experiments. Concoct chemical reactions and watch our jack-o-lanterns blow their lid—heads up for flying pumpkin! As well as other eerie experiences throughout the day.

All activities are free with paid admission and completely free for members. Costumes are encouraged. No weapons allowed.

Celebrating 50 years

Did you know that…

The Maryland Science Center has a long history of hosting for Halloween. One of our earliest Halloween events included a special live science show called “Something Brewing”, a showing of Escape to Witch Mountain in the Boyd Theater (now known as the MSC Theater on level 3), and and alien appearance in the planetarium.
