Dr. H. Bentley Glass Scholarship
The Dr. H. Bentley Glass Scholarship is awarded to a Baltimore City public high school student who intends to pursue post-secondary STEM studies at a four-year college or university or two-year college. This $1,500 non-renewable scholarship is intended to support the recipient’s education-related expenses. The scholarship recipient will also receive a paid Summer Internship at the Maryland Science Center.

Eligibility
Students must meet the following criteria to receive consideration:
- Baltimore City public high school student graduating in 2025
- Cumulative high school standard WEIGHTED GPA of 3.0 or above
- Acceptance at a four-year college/university or a two-year community college
- Intent to pursue STEM studies (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)
- Documented financial need

Congratulations to our 2025 scholar, Curelle Myles!
Curelle is graduating as an International Baccalaureate Full Diploma Candidate from Baltimore City College.
Beyond the time she applies achieving noteworthy success in this challenging academic track, she plays for the varsity tennis team and works as an assistant dance instructor with young dancers at a studio outside of school. Curelle strives to accomplish positive change in her community while serving in the Agoge Project afterschool program.
Participating as Johns Hopkins University SARE Scholar, she experienced working on STEM research in college labs which provided her with inspiration to pursue a major in biochemistry at the University of Scranton, her first choice to attend from among the host of universities offering her a place to pursue her college career.
