Bring your holiday spirit and coziest pajamas to Maryland Science Center’s Toymaker PJ Party.
Make a toy for yourself or as a gift for a friend as you engineer bouncy balls, design paper walkers and create shrinking ornaments. End the night by gazing up at the winter sky in a live planetarium show. PJ parties are all the fun of a sleepover without the overnight stay!
Who Can Attend?
The event is designed for children ages 8 and under, but older siblings can join in on the fun as well. All children must have a paid adult in their party.
What Happens at a Teddy Bear Pajama Party?
Check-in: Please arrive at 5:30pm on Friday, December 15. Parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis on our employee lot located off Key Highway. Click here for parking information. Guests must enter through the Constellation Learning/Group Entrance located around the back of the building off of Key Highway. You cannot enter or exit through the Harbor Lobby.
Snack: A light snack will be provided around 7:00.
Activities: All exhibits, except the SciLab and Shed will be open. The Kid’s Room and special activities will be open from 5:30-8:30pm.
Planetarium: Planetarium shows will be at 7:30 and 8:00pm. Participants will sign up for one of these two shows at check-in.
Departure: Guests must exit the building by 8:30pm.
What Should I Bring?
Bring your favorite stuffed animal. Wearing pajamas is highly encouraged!
Other Information:
Cancellations will be accepted for full refund up to one week before the event. After that, no refunds will be issued.
Tickets: Tickets (for adults and children) should be purchased in advance. If the event is not sold out, a limited number of tickets will be available for purchase at the door until event capacity is reached. A $2 convenience fee will be added to any tickets sold at the door.
