Entertaining Einstein
Albert Einstein is not just a name that represents genius, his
contributions to science are examples of what comes from an inquisitive
nature and vivid imagination. Entertaining Einstein is a new show
in the Davis Planetarium that treats the science and significance
of Einstein’s work, but also introduces us to the person.
Current scientists strive to unravel the mysteries of space and
time presented by Einstein. From E=mc2, and his theories of special
and general relativity, Einstein is a name known the world over.
Albert Einstein was a great thinker, but still just a man—quoted
as saying both “Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world,” and
“When I was young, I found out that the big toe always ends
up making a hole in a sock. So I stopped wearing socks. ”
Get to know Einstein, the scientist, the theorist, the icon, the
person—all on the dome of the Davis Planetarium.
