School Programs
Students
are given the opportunity to learn about the tools astronomers use to
explore the universe and examine the subject of light and how telescopes
are designed to collect and magnify it.
The program level can range from 3rd to 12th grade, and can
accommodate up to 20 people.
Daytime school programs occur rain or shine; if the weather
permits, students look through the telescope to safely view
the Sun. Programs are 40 minutes long. Please call Reservations,
410-545-5929, at least two weeks ahead of time to make arrangements.
Admission is $4.50 per person.
Evening school programs, "Night Under the Stars," depend
on the weather, so rain dates will be arranged. Viewing will
include the Moon, planets, and stars according to the season.
Programs are 2 hours long. Please contact the Observatory Coordinator
at least two weeks ahead of time to make arrangements. Admission
is $10.00 per person.
