Whales brings audiences eye-to-eye with the largest creatures on Earth. The large-format film brings a stunning combination of art and science together to create a new perspective on these mysterious marine mammals.

The engulfing large-format technology captures the wonder of being among whales and results in what critics have called a 'breathtaking' and 'dazzling poetic' experience. Whales follows right, humpback, orca, blue whales and dolphins to discover how underwater sound influences and guides their feeding, breeding navigation and socialization.

The poignant and beautiful songs of the whales are brought to life on the giant screen, giving meaning to the wonder and wildness of these aquatic giants and their ancient melodies. Whales resonates through the theater in an explosion of color as it captures the grace of gargantuan creatures and offers surprising insights into the lives of these colossal mammals.

Meet blue humpbacks in their annual cycles of feast and famine as they travel thousands of miles from the krill blooms off the frigid coast of Alaska to calve in the warm waters of Hawaii. Featuring spectacular underwater footage of mothers, calves and escorts, Whales reveals many little-known aspects of these elusive creatures and celebrates the music, play and incredible strength of the earth's largest inhabitants.

Follow humpback mother and baby – Echo and Misty – as they traverse centuries old migratory routes under the world's oceans. Their journey takes them through international shipping lanes that pose man-made hazards that threaten their very survival. Join them for an underwater journey to feeding grounds.

Whales is narrated by Patrick Stewart – acclaimed stage and screen actor.
