Science on Tap: Beer-ology 101

On Thursday, June 26 the Maryland Science Center taps the keg of beer knowledge with Science on Tap: Beer-ology 101. From brewing to bottling, guests will be taken on a tour through the world of beer by expert brewmasters during a hop-heavy presentation and tasting from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Full Tilt Brewing co-owners Nick Fertig and Dan Baumiller will delve into the details of the brewing process, specifically focusing on the key roles played by hops, enzymes and temperature. Nick and Dan will also discuss the recent expansion and growth of local craft brewing.
The evening will be a fun, informative and social experience for all participants, from the beginner beer buffs to the professors of pils. All guests will have the opportunity to work with raw brewing ingredients and sample various types of beers including Full Tilt Brewing specialties such as Berger Cookie Chocolate Stout, Fleet Street Raspberry Wheat, Baltimore Pale Ale, and Camden Cream.
Doors for Science on Tap open at 7:00 p.m., the presentation will run from 7:30 p.m. to approximately 8:30 p.m. and includes drinks, light fare and all the beer knowledge guests can retain.
