Friday Night Stargazing 7:00-10:30 PM
Weather Permitting
See the Moon, planets, and stars through our historic–and now computer controlled refracting telescope. Friday admission to the Observatory is free (does not include access to the museum). Phone 410-545-2999 after 5:00 PM on Fridays to find out if the Observatory will be open that night.

Space Day 11:00 AM-4:00 PM
Space Day features aerospace displays, and activities. Presentations will be made possible from NASA Space Telescope, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, model rocket clubs, and the makers of NASA spacesuits. Activities include making Alka-Selzter rockets, constructing your own space backpacks, and signing a poster that will fly your name into space. Also NASA astronaut ken Reightler will be here to meet visitors and sign autographs.

Saturday Morning Science 10:30 AM
Wake up and smell the science! Come to the Maryland Science Center Saturday Mornings at 10:30 a.m. and join in a Saturday Morning Funshop. These hands-on programs give you a chance to participate in hands-on exploration of everyday science plus visit the Maryland Science Center afterwards. Click here for more information.

Frogs, muskrats and ducks, oh my! Get up close and personal with some of our pond dwelling creatures. Learn why tadpoles wriggle and why ducks eat upside down. Race a water strider and track animals in and around the pond. Join us as we explore what lives In the Small, Small Pond.
