Maryland Science Center Offers "Egg-citing" Discount
"Egg Drop, Price Drop" returns in January for third year of physics and fun

Can an egg withstand a fall from a third-story balcony? Visitors who "drop" by the Maryland Science Center on Saturday mornings beginning Saturday, January 6, 2007, can find out and will receive a discount in the process.

During the Maryland Science Center's third annual Egg Drop Price Drop promotion, visitors arriving before noon on Saturdays will receive a $5 discount on the price of admission - and an egg. Maryland Science Center staff will provide the materials and the "egg-spert" advice to help visitors create their original protective device for the egg, which will be dropped from the balcony of the third floor of the Maryland Science Center's atrium to see if it can survive the impact of the fall.

The Egg Drop Price Drop is only available Saturdays before noon, from January 6 through March 31, 2007.

The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. For more information and tickets, visit www.marylandsciencecenter.org or call the 24-Hour Information Line at 410-685-5225.

The Maryland Science Center at Baltimore's Inner Harbor is visited by more than 550,000 people each year. Popular exhibits include: Dinosaur Mysteries with more than a dozen full-size dinosaurs and interactive paleontology activities; an exploration of the day in the life of the human body in Your Body: The Inside Story; and dozens of interactive experiments in Newton's Alley. Other popular attractions in the museum include the Kids Room, the five-story St. John Properties IMAX Theater, and the world-famous Davis Planetarium.
