Wild Safari 3D Now Playing at Maryland Science Center Audiences will “go wild” as they join a zoologist on safari for a view of some the most spectacular and dangerous animals on the planet in Wild Safari 3D. The 40-minute feature is being shown daily in the Maryland Science Center’s St. John Properties IMAX Theater through Memorial Day. Wild Safari 3D puts the viewer in an open-air vehicle for adventures through diverse South African game country and face-to-face encounters with charging elephants, elusive leopards and hungry lions. Ranger Liesl Eichenberger leads the 3,000 mile expedition through wild grasslands and savannahs, and along the way tracks Africa’s big five (the elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and Cape buffalo) and examines their habitats. Admission for the film can be purchased as part of admission to the Maryland Science Center. Popular exhibits at the Maryland Science Center include Dinosaur Mysteries which features more than a dozen full-size dinosaurs and interactive paleontology activities, the five-story St. John Properties IMAX Theater, and dozens of interactive experiments in Newton’s Alley.
