Volunteer Positions On The Floor at MSC
Public Programs Science Educator
Position involves assisting visitors/school children, to gain an understanding of science concepts, through informal (on exhibit floors) and formal (on demo stage) presentations.
Duties:
Facilitate hands- on activities with visitors regarding science topics; interact with all ages; be familiar with and able to facilitate current exhibits.
Skills:
General knowledge of basic scientific principles; comfortable with audiences; ability to relate well with all age groups; public speaking experience.
Training:
Mandatory training by supervisor in the Education Department.
