Seasonal/Special Event Volunteer Positions

Camp-In Aide

Camp-In volunteers serve as assistants during the Maryland Science Center's overnight Camp-In programs for fourth to fifth grade children.

Duties:

Volunteers will help with check-in, meals, workshops, and the preparation of workshop activities. Volunteers may earn up to six service hour credits per event. Volunteers must be at least high school sophomores.

Skills:

The ability to work well with children and teenagers; excellent communication skills; able to follow directions well; positive attitude.

Training:

Provided by Camp-In staff.

How do I apply?

Prospective volunteers should print the Volunteer Application and return it to the Volunteer Department by mail or fax: Volunteer Department; 601 Light St; Baltimore, MD 21230; 410-545-5974.

Once your application is received you will be contacted for an informal interview and tour of the Science Center to determine a suitable volunteer position.
