Venture out to our urban rooftop Observatory to view the night sky as our staff help you find planets and constellations. Stargazing is free and open to the public.

Sungazing Saturdays

Who: Adults, Educators, Families & Kids, Members Where: The Observatory When: Every Saturday, 1:00-4:00pm How Much? Free with paid admission

Safely look at the Sun and its features–such as sunspots and prominences–through a special set of filters on our telescope.

First Fridays

Who: Adults, Educators, Families & Kids, Members Where: Maryland Science Center When: Every first Friday of the month from 5:00-8:00pm How Much? $9.00

Admission for First Fridays includes the permanent exhibit halls, planetarium, and IMAX Theater. All visitors pay just $9 for admission during First Fridays.
