Science really swings at the 33rd Annual Solstice at the Maryland Science Center. Solstice 2010 jumps, jives, and wails throughout the exhibit halls and outside on the waterfront promenade. So snag a spot because this event is happenin'. Valet parking is included with the purchase of a ticket

Eat, Drink, Dance
A moveable feast awaits as guests stroll from station to station sampling delicious food and signature libations. Under the soaring tent on the waterfront veranda the 18-piece Beantown Swing Orchestra heats up the dance floor with a 40’s era vibe featuring lead vocals from American Idol finalist John Stevens. Guest Speaker and Honorary Solstice Committee Chair Dr. Benjamin Carson welcomes guests during the cocktail hour.

Tickets and Info
Individual tickets are $125 per ticket or $105 per member. Ticket price includes valet parking. The event takes place throughout the Maryland Science Center exhibit halls and on the waterfront terrace outside.
What to Wear
No stale threads for this swingin’ scene! Cocktail party attire suggested—jackets encouraged, ties optional, and of course, dresses that impress.

Founded in 1797, The Maryland Academy of Sciences remains committed to inspiring everyone, especially children, to the importance of science in our everyday lives. Through its exhibits and programs at The Maryland Science Center, over 500,000 people encounter the wonder of science technology, engineering and math annually. Proceeds from Solstice help underwrite free admission to the Science Center for Maryland school children, fund outreach into the community and establish partnerships with educators.
