Join us in celebrating our home, the planet Earth. During this celebration of Earth Day, we’ll be exploring family-friendly ways to adopt a greener lifestyle and to help conserve our planet’s resources.
Pretend that you are a member of Baltimore’s Public Works team and compete against your friends and family in a recycling race! Participate in fun activities such as decorating a re-usable tote bag, plant your own lavendar, and createshrinkable art using recycled plastic, all of which you can take home to use and enjoy. Wheely Good Smoothies will be here to show you how to create your favotrie drink using pedal power while they distribute free samples!
Did you know that the Maryland Science Center is home to a super cool green machine? Join us on our rooftop oasis and learn about how green roofs benefit watersheds and help us keep cool. Find out about harbor health and renewable energy with hands-on activities. Experiment with our “solar bag” and "solar furnace" while on our green roof.
