Join us for the Maryland Science Center’s 4th Annual Bubble Days. The fun will be bubbling up all over the building—and outside too as we celebrate the art and science of bubbles.
Main Event
Our feature event is internationally famous bubble artist Casey Carle who performs his bubbly brand of humor and artistry in BUBBLEMANIA. We promise--you'll be amazed at what Casey can do with seemingly ordinary soap bubbles. Performances on our Atrium Stage at Noon, 2:00, and 4:00.
Throughout the Day
- Can a simple highlighter make bubbles glow? One of our staffers will show you the secret concoction to make glowing bubbles.
- We’ll help you decide the best mix of ingredients in our BUBBLE FACTORY then you can mix your own solution and take a bottle home—plus make your own wand to blow your bubbles.
- How big can you blow a bubble gum bubble? Enter our BUBBLE GUM BLOWING CONTEST and you could take home some great prizes.
- Bubbles really are science and we can prove it! Join in one of our BUBBLE WORKSHOPS and find out how bubbles form and perform under different conditions. Workshop times are 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00.
- Bubbles float, bubbles rise, bubbles fall, bubbles fill with smoke, bubbles freeze. On-floor encounters with bubbles of all shapes and sizes throughout the building.
- Join in the fun outside in front of our building, as we make giant bubbles, tiny bubbles, foamy bubbles, and more. There’s even special bubbly activities in the Kids Room for our youngest visitors—everybody loves bubbles.
