This summer, get hands on at the Maryland Science Center and learn how to use different tools such as a soldering iron, sewing machine, saw, hammer, and more.  Each workshop will be led by a Maryland Science Center staff member and include instruction, safety tips, tools, and participants will leave with a new skill set and a constructed, finished piece.

Join the Maryland Science Center in The Shed for an Introduction to Soldering Workshop.  Soldering is the process of melting a metal into other metal components in order to bind them.  Learn this basic skill that can be applied to a wide range of projects like jewelry making and electronic assembly and repairs.  This workshop will provide instructions for using a soldering iron and components for you to solder will be available.  Participants will leave the workshop with their own practice circuit board.
