Spring Clean and Green Workshop Series:
Build a Rain Barrel

Description Goes Here

Who: Adults, Families & Kids Where: Maryland Science Center When: March 21, 2015 10:30 am - 12:30 pm How Much? $80 per barrel, maximum 4 participants per barrel

This spring the Maryland Science Center presents a Clean and Green Workshop Series. Winter is coming to an end, the days are getting longer, and now is a great time to start prepping your home and garden for the year ahead. Each workshop will be hands-on and include instruction, supplies, and a related project. Participants will leave with a new skill set and a completed product.

Join Blue Water Baltimore and build your very own rain barrel. Learn how a simple food-grade barrel can be converted into a water-collecting and Bay-saving machine. Rain Barrels hold 60 gallons of rainwater and fill up in minutes in a typical Baltimore storm. All parts and tools will be provided. The barrels are just over 3 feet tall and are 2 feet wide so please make sure you have room to take home your barrel.

Cost is $80 per barrel, maximum four participants per barrel. All supplies and museum admission are included. The workshop is designed for ages 10 and up, anyone under 16 must participate with an adult. Please call 410-545-5980 to reserve your space. Deadline to register is 3/13/15.
