It's no surprise that many of our adult guests tell us their first memories of the Science Center are when they visited on a field trip with their school. The Science Center has changed over time but the experience of seeing the wonders of science through hands-on exploration has not. Visiting with your school group extends the lessons of the classroom to a new environment. At the Maryland Science Center learning by doing is the order of the day and fun is a tool we use to teach.

The Maryland Science Center publishes a comprehensive catalog of all its programming including Enrichment Experiences, IMAX films, Planetarium Programs, and Observatory Programs. Programs are delivered in state of the art learning environments and on the exhibit floors. All field trip experiences begin with our Core Exhibits which are the centerpiece of our initiatives and form the foundation for all our programming.

All Reservations for field trips must be made at least two weeks in advance. Reservations accepted beginning August 18, 2008
