Part Time Public Program Staff
If you enjoy interacting with people and have a science background, we have the job for you as a public programmer here at the Maryland Science Center.
Duties
Public Programmers engage visitors and school groups within our exhibits and sci-zones. They dazzle the audience with daily science demonstrations, with hands-on science explainers and assist with science programming during special event days. An ability to work in a creative team environment is essential.
Requirements
- You must have a high school diploma, and you ideally also have two years of college-level science.
- Experience working with the general public (including children) that includes public speaking/presentation skills.
- Weekend availability a must; some evenings and weekdays possible.
