Kids Room Events for June
The Maryland Science Center’s Kids Room has cool ways to chill out in June when the stifling summer swelter starts. The Kids Room is an interactive learning center with over 50 innovative, age-appropriate programs that encourage children up to eight years old to discover and learn through hands-on play.
Preschool Storytime
Tuesdays, June 1, 8, 15, 22

Imagination & Creation Exploration
Fridays, June 4 and 11
3:00 p.m.
This activity is specially designed for children ages five through eight. Come and face a new I.C.E. challenge based on our monthly theme. The theme for June is the Sun. Take a shine to some bright ideas about the power of the Sun and how important it is to life on Earth.
Imagination & Creation Exploration activities are funded by the LEGO Children’s Fund.
Infant and Toddler Activity

Special activity time designed just for children up to 24 months and their adults. Come enjoy music, movement, stories, songs, and crafts with your little one.
Wiggle Wednesday
Wednesday, June 16
11:00 a.m.
Special athletic time designed just for children ages three through six and their adults. Come wiggle, squirm, and dance to songs, stories, and rhymes. A great opportunity to get some kid-friendly exercise and get those energetic kiddos moving.
About the Maryland Science Center
The Maryland Science Center in Baltimore is visited by more than 500,000 people each year. Popular exhibits include: Dinosaur Mysteries with full-size dinosaurs and interactive paleontology activities; a day in the life of the human body in Your Body: The Inside Story; and dozens of interactive experiments in Newton’s Alley. On May 22, the Maryland Science Center will premier its latest temporary exhibition, Wonder Warehouse, a series of theatrical science demonstrations that glow, explode and shoot fire. Other attractions include the Kids Room, the five-story St. John Properties IMAX Theater, and the world-famous Davis Planetarium.
