Shrek Forever After 3D Enchants theMaryland Science Center

The beloved green ogre comes to IMAX on May 21

The final chapter of the Shrek’s larger-than-life tale promises to be even bigger when Shrek Forever After takes on the five-story screen at the Maryland Science Center.  Fans of the animated hero’s adventures can experience the thrill of the Baltimore’s only true IMAX presentation at the St. John Properties IMAX Theater beginning Friday, May 21, 2010.

Having already challenged an evil dragon, rescued a beautiful princess and saved his in-laws’ kingdom, Shrek reinvents himself as a domesticated family man in Shrek Forever After. Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is fooled into signing a pact with the smooth-talking, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met.

In the first 3D movie of the series, Shrek Forever After immerses movie goers in the luscious forests and extraordinary landscapes of Far Far Away. The beloved characters Shrek, Donkey, Fiona and Puss in Boots come to life with the crystal clear images of the IMAX 3D experience, and the theater’s 38-speaker digital surround sound system.

Shrek Forever After 3D will be offered daily at the Maryland Science Center beginning May 21, 2010.  Special “IMAX Only” tickets and show times are available.  The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
