Evolutionary Party Celebrates Charles Darwin
Families experience the wonders and science of evolution at Darwin Day event
Partygoers will explore Darwin’s theories of evolution through kid-friendly science activities at the Maryland Science Center’s Darwin Day on Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Fun visual activities include:
• Opposable Thumbs Challenge: Guests will try to tie their shoes and perform other basic tasks without using their thumbs
• Make Your Own Adapted Animal: Families will use recycled materials to invent
their own wacky animal species
• Birthday festivities: Guests will also make their own animal-themed birthday hats, enjoy birthday cake, and sign a giant birthday card for the legendary scientist.
• Meet Darwin: Guests will meet Darwin himself and pose for pictures with the revolutionary scientist
All events are free with paid admission to the Maryland Science Center. The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
