The Science Store
Build it. Design it. Construct It. Understand it. The Science Stores offers interactive answers to every “how does…?” and “what is…?” that inquisitive children ask. Hands-on kits explain everything from how to make ice cream and perfume, to how rockets soar through space - there are more than 10 different models to make of the solar system and more than a dozen constructions of the human body. A wide range of high-quality telescopes and easy-to-use star projectors bring the vastness of the night sky into the living room.
The Science Store is open during Maryland Science Center hours:
Tuesday - Thursday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What better way to bring joy during a cold winter holiday than the promise of warm weather exploring. A gift certificate to the Maryland Science Center’s Camp MSC offers more than a one, two or four week camp experience; it keeps children active, engaged and learning during the summer. Camp MSC programs include week-long sessions about dinosaurs, wizardry, extreme weather and robots.

Want to be thanked all year-long? A gift membership at the Maryland Science Center includes one year of free admission to the museum, discounts on theater shows and special events, and free admission to more than 250 other science museums around the country.
